My name is Trey Sargent. I'm a technology enthusiast, software developer, father, husband, and an avid runner. I work in Annapolis, Maryland as a Lead Software Engineer and the owner of Rizon Computing, a small consulting start-up.

My personal interest is in distributed systems, parallel processing, database caching, and user interfaces.  The majority of the development that I do today are in real-time, distributed applications that require high performance and redundancy.  On a daily basis I code in C, C++, Java, and C#.  Occasionally I make an excuse to build a Python script here and there. ;)

This blog is a composite of both the challeges I face as a professional and of a person who loves technology, books, travel, and personal fitness.

What else would you like to know? I crave new challenges. I bike on the weekends. I get little sleep. I used to hack on IRC. I drink a lot of coffee (which ironically turns into code - who knew?). That's my life in a nutshell.

Happy coding!
